Nepal has issued a 6-point directive to implement the Core FHIR Directive. <\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Health and Food and Hygiene has issued a directive to the concerned agencies and organizations to implement the Nepal Core FHIR Directive. The directive has been directed to the provincial health ministry, local level, government and private health, EMR and HIS service providers. <\/p>\n<p>According to the ministry&#8217;s ministerial decision on October 3, the &#8216;Nepal Core FHIR Implementation Directive version 1.0.0&#8217; has been approved as the national standard and is being implemented. <\/p>\n<p>The Directive sets out the Common National Standard for Sharing Patient Data between Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Hospital Information Systems operating in Nepal&#8217;s health institutions. It covers patients, health workers, health institutions, appointments, diseases, laboratories, medicines, vaccination and dispatch patterns, Nepal&#8217;s federal geography and national identification systems. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"> <strong>Here are the instructions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>}<\/p>\n<ul>\n<p>The Department of Drug Administration shall publish the National Drug Indication List, and the National Public Health Laboratory shall prepare a national list of tests and map them to the international LOINC indications as required.TAG_OPEN_li_23 <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p>After the Department of Drug Administration publishes the National Drug Indication Index, all health institutions and service providers shall map the drug data of their system accordingly within 3 months of its publication.TAG_OPEN_li_22 <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p>All government and private health institutions shall upgrade their EMRs and HISs as per the guidelines.TAG_OPEN_li_21 <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p>All EMR TAG_OPEN_li_20 s and HIS Service Providers are required to comply with the Guidelines within 6 months from the date of receipt of this Circular and test their systems using the compliance testing equipment provided by the Ministry, complete the must support fields as per the obligations of the NP Core Creator, and implement FHIR R4 AIP. <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p>The provincial health ministry and local level shall coordinate and monitor the implementation of this standard in the health institutions under their jurisdiction.TAG_OPEN_li_19 <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<li> Progress report on the status of implementation shall be sent to this Ministry on a quarterly basis. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
