Current Fiscal Year 2083. Life insurance companies have collected more than Rs 32.5 billion in insurance premiums by renewing insurance policies till August 2018. <\/p>\n<p>According to the data released by the Insurance Authority of Nepal (IBA) today, 14 life insurers have earned Rs 32.57 billion in renewal insurance premiums till August of the current fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year 2082. Insurance companies had earned Rs 28.70 billion in renewal premiums till August 2018. The renewal premium collected by the insurers during the review period increased by 13.46 percent compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Compared to the previous year, the renewal premium collection of all companies has increased till August of the current year. IME Life is ahead in the growth rate while Nepal Life has collected the highest renewal premium. <\/p>\n<p>Nepal Life Insurance has collected Rs 8.48 billion in renewal premium till August of the current fiscal year. The company had collected Rs 7.83 billion in the previous year. Compared to the previous year, the company&#8217;s renewal premium collection increased by 8.30 percent. <\/p>\n<p>National Life Insurance Company is the second highest collection of renewal insurance premiums. The company collected Rs 4.14 billion in renewal premiums till August. In the same period last year, the company had collected only Rs 3.86 billion in renewal premiums. The company&#8217;s renewal premium increased by 12.43 percent compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>National Life is in the third position. The company collected Rs 3.05 billion in renewal insurance premiums till August last year, up 21.56 per cent from Rs 3.71 billion in the review period. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC Nepal) has collected Rs 3.17 billion in renewal premiums till August. The company had collected Rs 2.91 billion in the same period last year. The company&#8217;s renewal premium increased by 8.73 percent compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Himalayan Life collected Rs 3.13 billion in renewal premium, followed by Surya Jyoti Life Insurance of Rs 1.87 billion, Asian Life Insurance Rs 1.43 billion, Citizen Life Insurance Rs 1.17 billion, Sanima Reliance Life Rs 1.12 billion and IME Life Insurance Rs 1.04 billion. In the review period, Himalayan Life Insurance has increased by 12.13 percent, Surya Jyoti Life Insurance by 17.13 percent, Asian Life by 18.03 percent, Citizen Life by 10.74 percent, Sanima Reliance Life by 18.11 percent and IME Life by 31.27 percent. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life earned Rs 93.69 crore, MetLife earned Rs 89.30 crore, Reliable Nepal Life earned Rs 86.86 crore and Sun Nepal Life earned Rs 57.12 million in the review period. Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life has increased by 21.28 percent, MetLife by 11.82 percent, Reliable Nepal Life by 19.97 percent and Sun Nepal Life has increased by 14.32 percent in the review period. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-319299\" src=\"https:\/\/insurancekhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/renewal-premium.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1155\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
