Kathmandu. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has revised the provisions related to the sale of shares of the primary shareholders and 15 days prior notice. <\/p>\n
On August 22, SEBON had issued a directive to inform the concerned company 15 days before the sale of the shares of 5 percent or more of the shares of the listed company and make arrangements to make the notice (validity of the notice remains for 3 months) to be made public through NEPSE 15 days before the sale of the shares. However, today SEBON has amended the policy to inform the concerned company about the sale of 15 or more shares by the original shareholders and the listed company should make arrangements to make it public through NEPSE after receiving the notice of sale of shares. The validity of the notice of intent to sell the shares will remain for a period of 3 months. <\/p>\n
According to the new provision, the provision of giving information 15 days in advance has been removed and the limit of shares that the primary shareholders want to sell has been increased. <\/p>\n
Similarly, if the shareholders who have issued a notice through the listed company with the intention of selling the shares have not sold the shares they want to sell or have not sold the shares in full, if they buy the shares of the same company again, they should inform the listed company about the details (price and quantity) as soon as after the completion of the transaction. <\/p>\n
In addition, SEBON has also directed to make arrangements to make public the information related to the purchase of securities received by the listed companies through NEPSE as soon as possible. Earlier, this provision did not exist. <\/p>\n
