President Donald Trump has again warned of a new attack on Iran. Accordingly, the number of troops is being deployed. He said, “The co-pilot who tried to crash a flight to Israel may have a connection with Iran.” \u2019<\/p>\n
Trump also said he would reject Iran’s latest ceasefire proposal and hinted that bombings could increase after the November 3 election. The U.S. military is expanding its presence in the Middle East. According to a U.S. official, about 9,000 troops are being sent by plane. That includes more than 7,000 sailors and 2,000 Marines. <\/p>\n
This group includes the recently departed USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group. It also includes the cruiser USS Chosin. The second group includes the USS Makin Island Amphibious Readiness Group. That includes the amphibious landing ship USS John P. Martha and the USS Anchorage. <\/p>\n
According to the official, three aircraft carriers could be in the area by the end of October. With the addition of the forces already present, there will be more than 20,000 naval personnel and marines and hundreds of aircraft. That’s an unusually large number. <\/p>\n
In April, three naval carrier strike groups were present. This was the first time since 2003. <\/p>\n
Currently, the USS Boxer Amphibious Readiness Group, along with the USS George H.W. Bush and the USS George Washington, are in the area. Washington usually lives in the Pacific Ocean but was sent to replace the GK Abraham Lincoln. The crew spent more than 260 days at sea. <\/p>\n
At the White House, reporters asked Trump if the co-pilot who stabbed the captain and tried to shoot down the flight to Israel on Wednesday had anything to do with Iran. “From what I’ve heard, the answer is yes, but the investigation is ongoing,” Trump said. \u2019<\/p>\n
