Kathmandu. Chunky Chhetri, Chief Executive Officer of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (AIRDC), has been elected as the Vice President of the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Developing Countries (AIRDC). <\/p>\n
He was elected as Regional Vice President at the General Membership Meeting of AIRDC held on September 28, 2026 at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare, Harare, Zimbabwe. He will also be a member of the Executive Board of Trustees of AIRDC. <\/p>\n
The AIRDC has been established with the objective of promoting collaboration, exchange of knowledge and experience among insurance companies of developing countries, and the development and expansion of insurance sector. <\/p>\n
The next Board of Trustees meeting of AIRDC is scheduled to be held on April 6, 2027 in Manila, Philippines. Similarly, Chhetri will also serve as the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the 25th AIRDC Conference to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2028. The coordination and cooperation between Nepal and AIRDC member countries will be further strengthened under his leadership to successfully organize the conference. <\/p>\n
As Vice President of AIRDC, Chhetri is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting the objectives of the organization and also encouraging other insurance and reinsurance companies in Nepal to join AIRDC. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, Mr. Chhetri congratulated the family of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited for assuming the responsibility of the Vice President of AIRDC and wished them a successful tenure. <\/p>\n
