Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Gems and Jewellery has expressed deep sorrow over the huge loss of life and property caused by floods, landslides and natural disasters in different parts of the country on the morning of August 10. It has extended support for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the affected and affected citizens in this difficult situation. <\/p>\n
In this connection, an emergency online meeting held on August 30 with the active participation of all the central office-bearers and working committee members of the FNJ, presidents of all seven province federations and presidents of the member associations affiliated to the federation had announced support to support in relief and rescue of the disaster-affected citizens. <\/p>\n
As per the decision, financial assistance has been collected voluntarily from the businessmen associated with the gold and silver, gems and jewelry business at the call of the Federation and deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund through a one-door system. <\/p>\n
A team led by Nir Bahadur Bishwakarma, General Secretary and coordinator of the Federation, Province Coordination and Relief Collection Committee formed by the FNCCI through Citizens Bank International Limited on behalf of the FNCCI, handed over the amount to Honorable Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. <\/p>\n
