The Ministry of Finance has launched the &#8216;Rasuwa-Bhotekoshi Flood Update&#8217; portal with the objective of making public the official details of the assistance received in the Prime Minister&#8217;s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, foreign aid, rescue and relief and the decisions made by the Government of Nepal in a transparent manner after the devastating floods in the Rasuwa-Bhotekoshi region on August 23. This portal, which is available in both Nepali and English languages, can be accessed in mofnepal.github.io\/rasuwa-flood-update. <\/p>\n<p>The details of the assistance handed over to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle through cheques and bank transfers have been made public on the portal. According to the ministry, till September 10, a total of Rs 2,15,25,42,309 has been received from 389 such aids. Along with this, a total of Rs 12.31 billion has been received so far in the Prime Minister&#8217;s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, including the money received online through NCHL and PhonePe and the foreign assistance received in the fund&#8217;s US dollar account. The details of the source of which are available on the portal. <\/p>\n<p>According to the fund position at 9 am on September 10, the fund has a total of Rs 11.98 billion in reserves. Since the figures of different sources are up to different dates and times, the integrated figures are yet to be calculated by the fund branch of the Ministry of Finance. <\/p>\n<p>The portal contains details of the assistance received online through NCHL and FonePay, the details of the assistance handed over to Finance Minister Wagle through cheques and bank transfer, the status of the bank account of the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund and the foreign aid received in the US dollar account of the Fund, the rescue and relief details published by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and Nepal Police, the decisions of the Council of Ministers, the details of the contact persons of the relief management and relief collection one-door system with the relevant sources and updated dates. Each issue published on the portal is made public only after collating with the official documents of the concerned agency and the portal will be updated as soon as new official details are received. <\/p>\n<p>The ministry has urged all individuals and organizations who want to contribute to send the assistance amount only through the official payment portal donate.gov.np and to coordinate with the contact persons of the Ministry of Finance&#8217;s relief collection one-door system for cash or kind. The details of the contact persons are available in the &#8216;Contact&#8217; section of the portal.
