The study found that those who drank ‘very hot’ beverages had almost three times the risk of cancer compared to those who drank ‘lukewarm’ tea or coffee. This research from the University of Oxford has been published in the International Journal of Cancer. The research classifies any liquid with a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius or above as ‘very hot’ and potentially risky. According to data from 977,282 middle-aged men and women, drinking 6 or more hot beverages per day also increases the risk. <\/p>\n
According to the researchers, the addition of milk can cause the beverages to become a little colder. However, it is best to wait until they are too cold before drinking. Tea made immediately after boiling water in a kettle is at a boiling point of about 100 degrees Celsius. When poured into a cup, this temperature drops to about 90 or 95 degrees Celsius.
