Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah held a telephonic conversation with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese today. In a telephonic conversation in the morning, Prime Minister Shah said that it is important to have a dialogue with his Australian counterpart at a time when Nepal is going through a difficult situation. <\/p>\n
Prime Minister Shah expressed his gratitude to the Australian government and its people for their solidarity with the loss of life, property and physical infrastructure caused by the massive floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 23. He also appreciated Australia’s support in the rescue and relief work in this disaster of Nepal. In particular, he expressed gratitude to Australia for sending a team of drone operators and essential relief materials including experts. <\/p>\n
Similarly, Prime Minister Shah said that the search for the missing Australians in Nepal due to floods is also intensified. Stating that Nepal and Australia have a long-standing close relationship, he said that Nepal and Australia would continue to coordinate and cooperate with Australia in search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation in this hour of disaster. <\/p>\n
