Kathmandu. NAIMA has said that it is ready to cooperate with the government and security agencies in relief and rehabilitation. The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association has expressed deep sorrow over the extensive damage caused to life, infrastructure and public and private property in Timure, Syaphrubesi and Rasuwagadhi areas due to the massive flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district this morning. <\/p>\n
Roads and bridges, electricity and communication infrastructures, vehicles, market areas, hydropower projects, structures of government and security agencies and other important physical properties have been badly damaged by the floods. <\/p>\n
Area Police Office Timure, Police Post Syafrubesi and Police Post Rasuwagadhi have also been affected. Although the full details of the incident are yet to come, NAIMA has expressed concern over the possibility of greater human, physical and economic losses. <\/p>\n
We express our heartfelt sympathy to the affected citizens, families, businessmen, security personnel and local communities in this difficult time, and express our high respect to the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, local administration and all rescue workers who are involved in search, rescue and relief work. As there may be risk in areas connected to the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river systems, people from Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan and other potentially affected areas have been requested to adopt high alertness, stay in safe places and follow the safety information and directives issued by the concerned bodies. <\/p>\n
“We are ready to stand with the affected communities in this difficult situation and cooperate with the relevant government and security agencies in rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts,” the statement said. <\/p>\n
