The committee formed for the improvement of the overall insurance sector, 2083 BS is to study the details related to the reinsurance business. The study will be done on the basis of the amount paid by the insurer for the reinsurance business in the last five years, the details of reinsurance commission income and claim recovery. <\/p>\n<p>The Insurance Authority of Nepal (IA) has directed the board to provide data of the last five fiscal years 2078\/79 to 2082\/83 within seven days. NEA has asked for details of insurance premium payment, reinsurance commission income and claim recovery to domestic reinsurance companies. <\/p>\n<p>Apart from this, the NRA has also asked for details of reinsurance done abroad. It has asked for details of the payment of foreign currency paid to the foreign reinsurer and details of the foreign currency received from the foreign reinsurer. <\/p>\n<p>According to the insurer, the deadline of seven days is insufficient as the authority has asked for details for the recommendation committee. &#8220;It takes time to review all the old details and provide them as per the format provided by the authority,&#8221; said a CEO, &#8220;In Nepal, the reinsurance transaction is still calculated manually rather than software, so it may take a few more days.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
