Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. KATHMANDU: Swarnim Wagle has urged young entrepreneurs working in the information technology sector to increase investment in the country without any fear. During a discussion with young IT entrepreneurs working in the IT sector at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, Minister Khatiwada said that the IT sector was in the government’s special priority. <\/p>\n
“The information technology sector is an area that can take a big leap in a short time, you young entrepreneurs increase investment. Spread yourself,” he said, adding that the government is with you. Explain what needs to be done. Recalling that Nepal had invested a lot of time in the production and export of agricultural products in the past, he said that there was a sector in which profit could be obtained in less time even by investing in the information technology sector. <\/p>\n
He said that the government has given special priority to the information technology sector in this year’s budget, allocated budget for the development of AI and has adopted a policy of encouraging young entrepreneurs working in the IT sector. <\/p>\n
“Tell me what you mean. May your field flourish. Youths should not be forced to go abroad. What is the situation now? Tell me what the government should do,” Wagle told young entrepreneurs in the IT sector. <\/p>\n
He also informed that the government has been taking initiatives to bring the world-class companies of information technology to Nepal. He also said that the government is planning to develop Nepal as a value chain hub of information technology. <\/p>\n
He urged the youth entrepreneurs to keep their problems open and move ahead by developing the sector by removing the shortcomings that come up in course of work. <\/p>\n
More than two dozen young IT entrepreneurs took part in the discussion thanked the government for giving priority to the IT sector. <\/p>\n
