KATHMANDU: The Special Court on Tuesday issued bail order to Madan Kumar Dahal, the former chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) and joint secretary of the government of Nepal, who has been accused in a money laundering case. <\/p>\n<p>Dahal, who was found absconding while filing the charge sheet on behalf of the government, was present in the court on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>A division bench of Justices Narayan Prasad Poudel, Hemanta Rawal and Bidur Koirala issued the order to the Supreme Court to allow Dahal to be arraigned on bail. <\/p>\n<p>The government had filed a case against promoters of Himalayan Reinsurance and Himalayan Life Insurance on June 12 and accused Dahal of money laundering. <\/p>\n<p>The case against him is pending at the Kathmandu District Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
