Kathmandu. Nepal Engineering College and Madhusudan Bhandari Memorial Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide scholarships to deserving and financially poor students in the postgraduate level. College Board of Directors Chairman Jeevan Khatri and Foundation Chairman Santosh Bhandari signed the MoU on behalf of their respective colleges. <\/p>\n
As per the MoU, the Foundation will provide scholarships to one Master’s level student studying in Nepal Engineering College. The scholarship will be applicable to students studying under the Spring Intake in 2026. <\/p>\n
The Foundation will select the students and recommend them to the college as per its statute and scholarship policy. As per the agreement, the Foundation will bear the tuition fees and other expenses of the selected students as per the agreement. <\/p>\n
For the scholarship, priority will be given to students with excellent educational qualifications, economically poor and those coming from remote areas of Nepal. Students must meet the Foundation’s scholarship criteria and the college’s required admission criteria. <\/p>\n
As per the agreement, the college will provide a post graduate scholarship sheet, provide information regarding the admission of the scholarship recipient and provide information regarding the academic progress of the scholarship recipient to the Foundation. <\/p>\n
The MoU will remain in effect for five years and can be renewed with mutual written agreement between the two parties. The collaboration is expected to help expand access to higher education to talented students from economically weaker and remote areas. <\/p>\n
The college has been providing various types of scholarships in collaboration with various organizations with the objective of providing access to meritorious and hardworking, poor, disadvantaged and helpless students in engineering education.
