The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has prepared and made public the Primary Capital Market Reform Policy, 2083 BS. The task force comprising the representatives of the merchant bankers and representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has prepared the capital market reform policy to formulate necessary policies and legal provisions for the development and reform of the primary market of Nepal. <\/p>\n<p>Making Nepal&#8217;s primary capital market modern, effective and investor-friendly, ensuring easy availability of long-term capital for industry, infrastructure, innovation, small and medium enterprises, green and sustainable development projects and developing a public issuing system based on high level of regulation, good governance, transparency and technology, the policy has been framed. The policy aims to establish Nepal&#8217;s primary capital market as the major financial source of national economic development, make the public issue fully transparent, digital and time-bound, implement a scientific and market-based pricing system, ensure effective participation of qualified institutional investors and anchor investors, develop a monitoring and effective utilization of the capital received after the public issuance, protect investors and enhance the confidence in the market,  Nepal has a strategic goal to develop Nepal&#8217;s primary capital market as one of South Asia&#8217;s competitive and trusted capital markets by gradually institutionalizing information flow on ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) and high-growth enterprises, creating an enabling regulatory environment to attract international investors. <\/p>\n<p>With the implementation of the policy, Nepal&#8217;s primary capital market would become transparent, credible, competitive, innovation-oriented, technology-friendly and in line with the international standards to create a major base for long-term capital mobilization required for national economic prosperity. <\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/insurancekhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IPO-Policy.pdf\" class=\"pdfemb-viewer\" style=\"\" data-width=\"max\" data-height=\"max\" data-toolbar=\"both\" data-toolbar-fixed=\"on\">IPO-Policy<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
