Kathmandu. Mountain Energy Limited has completed the financial management of the 65-megawatt Dudhkhola Hydropower Project to be constructed through its subsidiary. An agreement has been signed between the promoter company, Dudhkhola Hydropower Company and the bank. <\/p>\n
As per the agreement, NMB Bank will invest Rs 6.81 billion in the project while Sanima Bank will invest Rs 3.20 billion. A total of Rs 10.01 billion will be invested in the project. <\/p>\n
The total cost of the project is Rs 12.89 billion. The cost per MW is less than Rs 20 crore, which is considered attractive. NMB Bank and Sanima Bank will invest Rs 10.01 billion in the project while the remaining amount will be contributed by the promoter company. <\/p>\n
The company is preparing to start the construction of the project immediately after the completion of the financial management of the project. The company aims to start generating electricity within 3 years of the construction of the project. <\/p>\n
The 42 MW Mistri Khola Hydro Project and the 5 MW Tandikhola Hydro Project jointly constructed by Mountain Energy are currently generating electricity in a regular manner. <\/p>\n
