Manpur Tapara is an inner village in Bardiya district. A place for the economically weak. Houses covered with straw and covered with bamboo. The roof is also rugged. Mahesh Dahit Tharu was born and brought up in such an environment, with the help of shelter and cane while making the roof.

Mahesh studied in a local government community school and passed his SLC from the same school. He never had to be third in class during his school life. Sometimes he was first and sometimes second.

He went to the district headquarters Gulariya for Plus Two studies. The college also provided a full scholarship to Mahesh from the beginning, seeing that he was from a meritorious class, backward class and poor economic condition. When Mahesh was studying Plus Two in Education Science, he started tutoring the students of the school. It was a strong and easy way for meritorious and poor students to pay for their education. From this, he was able to afford lodging, food and extra expenses.

Despite this, Mahesh not only passed out from there but also topped the college. Mahesh moved to Nepalgunj to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education and to pursue the rest of his life’s journey.

While studying, he got married to a girl he liked in the village with the consent of the family. After getting married, the expenses increased. You also have to help your parents at home.

Mahesh’s immediate ability was to teach tuition. Even after his bachelor’s studies, he continued to teach tuition. Gradually, he started teaching tuition to Plus Two students. The students he taught passed with good marks.

One of the student’s parents is an insurance agent or agency manager. Mahesh also joined the life insurance company as an agent. Neither study stops you from working, nor does work stop studying. That’s what Mahesh proved. He trained as an agent and obtained his license. But in the early days, he didn’t show much interest in the life insurance business, nor did anyone else pay attention to him. However, with the passage of time, Mahesh started his life insurance business from the students who came for tuition. It became easier to start a life insurance business as tuition students kept changing. He also got an opportunity for economic progress.

Mahesh also completed his Master’s degree from Nepalgunj with excellent marks. After earning a lucrative income, Mahesh made tuition a side job and started adopting the agent profession as his main profession. Within a short time of being active in the life insurance business, he bought and rode the best motorcycle of his time.

Along with the income, Mahesh’s clothes, food and standard of living had changed a lot. The way society looked at him had changed. Till yesterday, my friends who were saying ‘Oi Mahesh’ were saying ‘Mahesh sir’.

Due to Mahesh’s energy, industriousness and leadership ability, he was elected as the chairman of the management committee of the school where he studied, and that too unanimously. His influence and trust in the village grew due to the leadership of the school management committee. He made life insurance his main profession and saw opportunities in every field. The progress made in a short period of time was truly enticing. More than that, it was inspiring and inspiring.

The thriving life insurance business began to transform the financial aspect of Mahesh’s life. He started earning a substantial income from the life insurance business, built more than 200 active agent networks and became the senior agency manager of the agent.

Over time, Mahesh and the couple had two children. Mahesh enrolled his sons and daughters in one of the best schools in the district. Which was not easy for the common man. Now the thatched house had been transformed into a grand bungalow. Now, along with motorcycles, cars and scooters have also been added to the bungalow. He has also been honored by the life insurance company for his excellent business in the life insurance business. Along with the income, he gained respect, prestige and respect.

Life doesn’t always go the same way. In the month of Magh, the fog in the morning, the path was not clear. Since Mahesh had to go to the District Education Office, Gulariya due to school work, he left his family early in the morning and left for the district headquarters in a hurry. We had to go through Bardiya National Park. When he reached the Basgadhi area, a tiger in a filmy style flew up his seven dolls, regaining consciousness. Mahesh died at the same time in a tiger attack. The family identified the body from a CCTV camera placed on the road and the rest of her lower body clothes and purse. The family collected the bodies with the help of security personnel.

Cremation. Not only the house, the family, the wife, the children, but the whole village was in mourning. The entire Manpur and Tapara area were shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of a person who had a lot of hope, trust and trust in the village. Everyone came home to pay their respects. He expressed his condolences to the bereavement.

But after a few days, he began to forget. The pain that was left only for his wife and children. Gradually, my wife was recovering from her grief and returning to her regular work. He was forced to do schooling, taking care of his children, doing all his work alone. Time is not always the same. Sometimes happiness and sometimes sorrow. She made her days seem normal.

But one day, my wife was called by the life insurance company to complete some paperwork. Curious about what it was, she went to the life insurance company. The employees of the company praised and respected Mahesh, who has taken up a social profession like life insurance. The employees transferred all the income Mahesh received from the life insurance business in the name of his wife. From the life insurance business, she received Rs. 2 lakhs a month from the life insurance business as per the rules of the Government of Nepal and even after that, she would get a regular monthly income for the next 10 years on the basis of insurance renewal. His wife couldn’t hold back her tears.

In the absence of her husband, the life insurance profession was relieved of the financial crisis that came to the family. At the same time, he did not let any decrease in the standard of living, education, and bright future of his wife and children. That’s why Mahesh’s wife is now an agent of the same life insurance company and has been providing life insurance by showing the importance of life insurance.

She is also emerging as an exemplary agent of the life insurance business in Mahesh’s path. After Mahesh’s death, the financial crisis in the family was devastated, and it is clear that the life insurance profession has provided respect and protection. So why not become a life insurance agent today and start a life insurance business?

(This story has been taken from Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance’s YouTube.) )

Kathmandu.
