When a husband dedicates his entire life to fulfilling the promise of the Seven Promises and ensuring a good future for his family. However, for some money, he becomes a businessman in his wife’s death and the trust in the relationship is shattered.

A heart-wrenching and horrific incident has come to light from Hamirpur district of India. There, a man conspired to kill his wife to grab an insurance claim of Rs 15 lakh and pay off his debts. This conspiracy makes anyone’s fingers shiver.

To make it look like a road accident, his wife was first hit by a car and then run over repeatedly while she was sleeping on the street. Moreover, to prove his innocence, the accused himself went to the police and staged a drama about his wife’s disappearance.

But the man could not escape. The Hamirpur police acted swiftly and busted the murder conspiracy within 48 hours and sent the accused and the culprits to jail.

The incident took place on the night of July 29. The mutilated body of a woman was found near a truck lane about two kilometers away from Paudhiya village under Lalpura police station area when a local farmer was returning from his farm. The condition of the bodies clearly showed that they were run over by heavy vehicles. Acting on information received from the villagers, Lalpura police reached the incident site and collected scientific evidence.

During the search, a bank account slip was recovered from the clothes of the deceased. On the basis of this slip, the deceased was identified as 32-year-old Rita, wife of Amar Singh.

Rita’s maternal uncle’s house is in Rajpur in Kanpur Dehat. The family was in mourning after receiving the news of their daughter’s death. Acting on the complaint of Sarvesh Kumar Gupta, father of the deceased, police registered a case of murder against unidentified persons and started investigation.

A police investigation revealed that Rita had died her first husband. She then started working in Kanpur. It was there that he met Amar Singh. They became close and Rita married him about two and a half years ago.

According to family members, this was also Amar Singh’s third marriage. Rita believed that her life would improve with Amar Singh but little did she know that the man she trusted would become her enemy.

Explaining the case, Additional Superintendent of Police Arvind Kumar said, “Amar Singh and his associates had given a huge loan to a person named Pushpendra Soni alias Sahil. Lenders were constantly pressuring him to repay the money. He hatches a sinister plan to sacrifice Rita in order to pay off his debts and secure a huge amount of money overnight. ’

As part of the conspiracy, the accused had earlier purchased Rita’s life insurance policy worth Rs 15 lakh from Max Life Insurance Company. The plan was to portray Rita’s murder as a road accident. As a result, he was allowed to claim Rs 15 lakh from the insurance company.

Amar Singh was to receive Rs. 15 lakhs from this claim and the rest was to be distributed among his associates. According to the plan, on the night of July 29, Amar Singh lured his wife Rita to Pauria Canal Road.

His aides were already waiting there in the Alto car. As soon as Rita arrived, the accused hit her on the head with a speeding Alto car. The collision was so severe that Rita fell into a roadside ditch.

Then, crossing all limits of cruelty, the accused picked her up from the ditch and put her to sleep on the road and drove the car over her with the intention of killing her immediately and giving the case a hit-and-run.

After committing the crime, all the accused fled from the spot. To prove his innocence and evade the police, the cunning husband Amar Singh went straight to the Sumerpur police station. There he told the police that his wife had suddenly disappeared from the house.

When the Lalpura police received information that the body of a woman was found near Pauria, Amar Singh went to the mortuary in a very normal manner and identified the body as that of his wife Rita. He kept crying and crying in front of the police so that no one would suspect him.

Considering the seriousness of the incident, a joint team of Lalpura police post, SOG and surveillance team was formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mrigank Shekhar Pathak. When the police checked the CCTV footage around the crime scene and technical analysis of the call detail records, the movement of her husband was found suspicious.

When the police detained Amar Singh and interrogated him strictly, he could not hide behind a web of lies and confessed to the crime. After this, the entire conspiracy of the incident was revealed. –Agency

Kathmandu.
