Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNIEF) has concluded its eighth annual general meeting in a grand manner. The gathering was attended by prominent personalities, government officials, diplomats, industrialists and young entrepreneurs. <\/p>\n
National Planning Commission member Dr Pukar Malla, Chairman of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Birendra Raj Pandey and former minister Anil Sinha inaugurated the AGM. <\/p>\n
Mr. Manish Shrestha, President of CNIEF delivered the welcome remarks and highlighted the role played by the Forum in empowering young entrepreneurs. Startup Chair Chirag Sarawagi gave a presentation on the past activities and achievements of CNIYF. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, letters of appreciation were given to the members and chapters who have made outstanding contribution in the previous year. In the convention, Jitendra Bahati was awarded the Most Active Member (Male), Neha Agrawal was awarded the Most Active Member (Female) for her contribution to major initiatives, and Sudhigya Pant was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for her successful ascent of Mt Everest. <\/p>\n
In addition, CNIEF Lumbini Chapter was honored with the ‘Chapter Growth Award’ for its active membership expansion and effective programs and the ‘Chapter Excellence Award’ for exemplifying the chapter with excellent performance. <\/p>\n
The new board comprises Sugam Ghimire as President, Manish Shrestha as outgoing President, Chirag Sarawagi as Learning Chair, Shiny Khaitan as Membership and Integration Chair, Nida Doon Malla (Startup, Entrepreneurship and Innovation), Sujit Regmi (Government and Diplomatic Relations), Puneet Agrawal (Communications and Expansion), Yash Agrawal (Strategic Alliances and Communications) and Ankur Agrawal (Finance and International Relations). <\/p>\n
Nancy Agrawal (Membership & Integration), Sachet Manandhar (Startup, Entrepreneurship & Innovation), and Chetan Pradhan (Government & Diplomatic Relations) have been elected as chairs. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Malla informed that a budget of Rs 500 million has been allocated for the Entrepreneurship Development Facility and expressed his desire to move forward in collaboration with the CNYF. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, CNI President Pandey praised the role of CNYF in the economic prosperity of the country and said that the youth leadership should be encouraged. <\/p>\n
