The Department of Inland Revenue (IRD) has urged consumers to participate in the Taxpayer Incentive Gift Program. Issuing a notice on Saturday, the department has asked the consumers who have made cash transactions to register their original bill. <\/p>\n<div class=\"media-body\">\n<div id=\"ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_newsDetail\" class=\"media-content\">\n<p>According to Deputy Director General and Joint Secretary of the Department, Janak Raj Sharma, since July 1, Rs 100 has been deposited. Consumers who have purchased goods or services worth more than Rs 100 in cash and have taken the original PAN and VAT bill can participate in the taxpayer incentive program. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have launched a new website named prize.ird.gov.np (prize.ird.gov.np) from Saturday,&#8221; Sharma said. Eligible consumers who have purchased goods and services worth more than Rs 100 can upload their bill by visiting the website. &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>The department has also clarified that they do not need to enter bills now as they have already been included in the gift program system through the QR transaction system. <\/p>\n<p>According to the department, the bank and wallet will be able to deposit Rs. Consumers who have purchased goods and services worth more than Rs 100 do not need to register the bill now. Since the transaction paid through QR has been downloaded and the same transaction number has been entered into the department&#8217;s system for the gift, the same number will be eligible for the gift.\u00a0However, the department has drawn the attention of all consumers to keep the bills safe as the original bill becomes mandatory after the announcement of gifts. <\/p>\n<p>The department has also urged consumers to ask for the original VAT and PAN bill of their purchase and to inform the department if they have not received the bill. The Department is preparing to make public the results of the first 15 days of the Tax Payer Incentive Program implemented from July 17 next week. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Technically, we are ready. If there is no major technical problem, we will be able to announce the results of the first 15 days (15 winners at the rate of Rs 1 lakh per day and 1 winner of 15 days bumper Rs 1 million) next week,&#8221; the department said. <\/p>\n<p>In the budget for the fiscal year 2083\/84, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle also announced to launch a taxpayer incentive gift program to bring taxpayers into tax system and develop a culture of bill taking. <\/p>\n<p>As per the announcement, the Ministry had approved the Gift Operation Procedure in the last week of June. According to the procedure, one consumer will be paid tax every day and Rs. Rs. 100,000 cash prize and Rs. 100,000 as a bumper gift every 15 days (two people a month).
