Kathmandu. The support of the state has been strengthened to some extent for the citizens who are forced to die untimely due to financial constraints due to serious diseases. KATHMANDU: The Health Insurance Board (HIB) has released the payment amount till the month of Jeth to the listed hospitals across the country providing free and subsidized treatment for various serious diseases under the Poor Citizen Medicine Treatment Program. <\/p>\n
According to the Board’s decision on July 5, 2008, a total of Rs 298.33 million has been sent to the bank accounts of more than 119 service providing health institutions, government, community and teaching hospitals across the country. <\/p>\n
According to the Board, the amount has been transferred directly to the accounts of the hospitals providing the service as per the accepted claim after meticulously scrutinizing the doctor’s prescription, hospital recommendation and treatment claim documents. <\/p>\n

Four out of five hospitals that have received reimbursement of more than Rs 10 million for treatment expenses are from Kathmandu Valley. Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Bansbari, Rs 30,06,55,759, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Rs 1,52,98,666, Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Centre, Bhaktapur, Rs 14.05 crore, Rapatan Hospital, Patan Institute of Health Sciences Rs 10,395,344. <\/p>\n
Similarly, among the hospitals outside Kathmandu, Biratnagar Hospital and Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar of Koshi Province have been reimbursed for treatment expenses of Rs 11,446,254. <\/p>\n
Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan have received Rs 85,15,963 as reimbursement for treatment of the poor people. <\/p>\n
Bir Hospital, Kanti Children’s Hospital, BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur, Kathmandu Cancer Centre, Arogya Foundation and provincial and district hospitals of Far-West, Karnali and Lumbini provinces have also received reimbursement for their services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
