Johnson &amp; Johnson has offered up to $5.5 billion in damages to settle thousands of lawsuits alleging that its baby powder and talcum products cause ovarian cancer. <\/p>\n<p>The proposal is an attempt to end a major legal dispute that has been going on for years and has been under constant pressure from the New Jersey-based health care company. However, Johnson &amp; Johnson has consistently denied the allegations. <\/p>\n<p>The company claims that its talcum products do not cause cancer.
