Allianz Partners is preparing to cut 1,800 jobs and increase the use of artificial intelligence (AI). According to GlobalData, the increasing use of AI is helping insurers reduce costs, improve processing speeds, and address labor shortages. <\/p>\n
However, it also brings new challenges. These include stronger regulatory oversight, greater scrutiny of fairness and transparency in pricing and claims decisions, increasing cyber risk and the need for stronger governance of AI systems. <\/p>\n
By combining AI adoption with more effective control and employee upskilling, insurance companies can improve risk selection, develop more personalized products, and serve faster customer service, according to GlobalData. <\/p>\n
Those who are slow to adopt technology may face pressure on weak customer retention and profit margins. In the fourth quarter of 2025, a GlobalData poll conducted on the Verdict and Business Trade Media International websites received more than 2,000 responses. Of those, 25.2 percent of respondents believed that more than half of the jobs would eventually be replaced. <\/p>\n
Despite these estimates, a separate GlobalData poll conducted at the same time found that 44.8 percent of more than 2,000 respondents were not concerned that automation would replace their own jobs. <\/p>\n
The results come after a Bloomberg report that Allianz Partners plans to reduce its workforce from 1,000 to 1,000 in several European countries. <\/p>\n
