South Korea is expanding its employment insurance coverage to include more classes under gig and educational workers. <\/p>\n<p>According to a report in Chosunbiz, the Ministry of Labor of South Korea has issued an advance notice with a draft order to expand employment insurance coverage to workers in four job categories. The advance notice was issued on July 22 and will be open for public comment until August 31. <\/p>\n<p>The draft order includes cross-recruiters (recruiters who can recruit for both life and non-life insurance) and credit unions and the Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives (KFCC) for mutual aid. Under the education category, the draft includes instructors for special after-school programs in kindergartens and instructors for special activities programs at daycare centers. <\/p>\n<p>Under the Consumer Logistics Services Act, drivers handling deliveries related to furniture installation have been added to the parcel delivery driver category and affiliated recruiters have been added to the credit card subscription recruiter category. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Currently covered by employment insurance<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Insurance planners<\/li>\n<li>After-School Instructors<\/li>\n<li>parcel delivery drivers<\/li>\n<li>Credit Card Subscription Recruiters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was felt that this scheme was very small in the class. Therefore, the amended law was introduced.
