Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has adopted some flexibility in the provision of mandatory national identity card for renewal of social security allowance and for enlistment of beneficiaries. <\/p>\n
Issuing a public notice, the Ministry said that the beneficiaries having national identity cards will have to mandatorily get their biometric authentication through fingerprint scanner or iris scanner and renew it. If biometric is not available due to technical reasons, it will be renewed and listed on the basis of personal details and photos mentioned in the national identity card. <\/p>\n
Beneficiaries who have completed biometric in the previous fiscal year will be renewed on the basis of the same details. <\/p>\n
If the new beneficiary who does not have a national identity card has provided the identity card number but cannot be verified through any means, the same will be listed and renewed in the system. <\/p>\n
Children, those who cannot take care of themselves, the disabled, the helpless and senior citizens above 90 years of age will be listed and renewed as beneficiaries even if they do not have a national identity card. <\/p>\n
The names of the beneficiaries who have not been renewed within the stipulated time will be deducted. However, if the person wants to be re-enlisted, they can apply again as per Section 12 of the Social Security Act, 2075. <\/p>\n
The Ministry has requested the beneficiaries to be present at the concerned ward office by mid-October. <\/p>\n
According to Rule 9 of the Social Security Regulations, 2076 BS and Clause 7 of the Social Security Allowance Distribution Procedure, 2082, the identity card should be renewed within mid-October of each fiscal year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
