Kathmandu. A 15-day charity sports fest has kicked off at Nepal Medical College (NMC) on Friday. On Friday, the managing director of the college, Dr. Sabiha Yasmin inaugurated the marathon and kicked off the 2-week Charity Sports Fest. <\/p>\n
In men’s category, Ajay Chhetri came first, Suman Tamang second and Manish Ayer third. In the women’s category, Sandhya Poudel came first, while Baidya and Darshita Bhandari of Roshi came second and third respectively. The managing director of the college, Dr. Sabiha Yasmin distributed medals and certificates. <\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Dr. \u00a0Stressing that sports is important to keep students physically and mentally healthy, Yasmin said that the program will help establish a good relationship between students, faculty, nurses and staff. He pledged that the college administration would always be there to unleash the inherent talents of the students and help them in their teaching and extracurricular activities. <\/p>\n
The Charity Sports Fest, which is being organized in collaboration with Our Efforts for Health (OATH), has seen a significant participation of students, faculty and staff of MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing. The Charity Sports Fest has been organized with the objective of bringing out the inherent talents of the students and raising support for the patients struggling with financial crisis. <\/p>\n
The sports fest will feature futsal, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, marathon, sprint, rope pulling, PUBG and other competitions. Asima Gautam said. On the occasion, the director of the college, Dr. Nusrat Jahan Ansari, Director of the hospital.
