Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), Koshi Province Office has organized a ‘Round Table’ discussion among the province chiefs of life, non-life, micro life and micro non-life insurance companies in Biratnagar on the issues of improvement in insurance market, quality of service and strategy for the coming fiscal year. <\/p>\n
In the first session of the discussion, Preeti Dev, Deputy Director and Chief of Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province Office, reviewed the questions, queries and complaints raised in the interaction programs conducted by the Koshi Province Office of Nepal Insurance Authority with various stakeholders during the current fiscal year. <\/p>\n
The participants suggested on the role of insurance companies to solve the practical problems in the market and confusion among the general public about insurance services. <\/p>\n
The meeting also reviewed the activities of insurance companies operating in Koshi Province in the current fiscal year, achievements made and challenges. The participants stressed on the priority of expanding access to insurance, improving the quality of service, making the market systematic, transparent and competitive and making the claim payment process more effective and fast. <\/p>\n
In order to increase the public’s confidence in the insurance sector, effective coordination between the regulatory bodies and insurance companies, public awareness raising and service-oriented working style should be further strengthened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
