Kathmandu. The case has been filed against the promoter of Himalayan Reinsurance Company Shankarlal Agrawal, his two sons Sulabh and Shahil and business partner Deepak Bhatta. <\/p>\n
The case was filed at the High Court, Patan on Thursday by the District Attorney’s Office after the police completed the investigation. Shankarlal is his father while Sulabh and Sahil are his sons. Bhatt is the business partner of the Agarwal family. <\/p>\n
In the charge sheet filed by the government, the government has demanded a recovery of Rs 42,14,88,807 against them. They have filed the case claiming that they have committed the offence prohibited by Section 8 of the Banking Offences and Punishment Act, 2064. <\/p>\n
Among the accused, Deepak and Sulabh have been in custody for the last 2 months after the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested them in connection with a case related to banking fraud and money laundering. <\/p>\n
An investigation into the money laundering case against them is also underway. Shahil Agrawal, chairman of Jagdamba Steels, Sulav and Deepak have been accused of misappropriating bank loan taken for Jagadamba Steels. Besides, investigation is underway into the alleged misuse of loan by withdrawing money from various companies in the name of Infinity Holdings Pvt Ltd, owned by Deepak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
