Kathmandu. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Nepal Engineering College and Changunarayan Municipality for community development and internship to students. The college and Changunarayan Municipality formally signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday. <\/p>\n
The municipality said the agreement was signed to encourage the students, teachers and staff of the college in innovation, entrepreneurship and skill development. The college will provide skilled manpower and other technical assistance to the local municipality in the development of the community. <\/p>\n
According to Durga Prasad Bhandari, principal of the college, the municipality and all the local wards of the municipality have agreed to provide internship of minimum 3 (three) months to the students of different programs of Nepal Engineering College to enhance practical knowledge and work experience of the students. <\/p>\n
The Changunarayan Municipality will provide financial assistance, guidance and opportunities to the students as per the need as per the municipality’s policies and regulations if they are selected through the college’s innovative ideas, technology and project proposals. <\/p>\n
The college has been collaborating with various professional establishments, industries and consultancies to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of the students. Such collaborations are expected to help in producing skilled manpower that is essential for the country and the community by bridging the gap between academia and industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
