The government has announced that a special initiative will be launched to enter Nepal with confidence in the era of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Yesterday, on the 15th of Jestha, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said this. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will establish country&#8217;s first sovereign AI compute center in Syuchatar, Kathmandu,&#8221; he said. We will purchase thousands of AI processing units to provide AI entrepreneurs and startups with affordable compute capabilities. &#8216;<\/p>\n<p>He said that clean hydropower energy will be converted into high-value AI compute services. It is believed that Nepal&#8217;s immense energy power will be harnessed to develop artificial intelligence to lay the foundation for skilled jobs, digital exports and AI-enabled economic transformation. <\/p>\n<p>The government has also announced that it will be inviting at least fifteen Nepali researchers, who are making an international reputation in the field of AI, to return to Nepal with prestigious fellowships in the next fiscal year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
