China has confirmed a deal to buy 200 planes from Boeing. <\/p>\n<p>The announcement came after US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Beijing last week. China&#8217;s commerce ministry said on Wednesday that under the agreement, the US will guarantee the supply of aircraft engine parts and other necessary components. \u2019<\/p>\n<p>The two countries have also agreed to work towards escalating the tariff war they agreed to halt last October. At the same time, both sides will try to reduce tariffs on goods worth at least $30 billion. <\/p>\n<p>The announcement came as Xi Jinping held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting comes days after Trump&#8217;s visit to China. &#8220;We&#8217;ve had a lot of excellent trade deals, including more than 200 Boeing deals,&#8221; Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One after leaving for China last Friday. <\/p>\n<p>It has also promised to buy 750 aircraft.
