Kathmandu.\u00a0 Budhanilkantha Municipality and Indo-Australia Sanatan Society held cordial meetings and high-level discussions on the issues of culture, tourism promotion, entrepreneurship development and expansion of international cooperation in the future. <\/p>\n
A delegation led by Indo-Australian Sanatan Society President Yogesh Khattar paid a courtesy call on Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality Mitharam Adhikari and Deputy Mayor Anita Lama on Tuesday. <\/p>\n
Mayor Mitharam Adhikari, Deputy Mayor Anita Lama, Chief Administrative Officer Ajay Bartaula, ward representatives, office-bearers of Indo Australia Sanatan Society, Vice-Chairman of Budhanilkantha Municipality Sports Development Board Dipak Tamang and employees of the municipality were present on the occasion. <\/p>\n
The two sides exchanged positive views on the matters of expanding cooperation between local governments and Budhanilkantha Municipality of Australia through Sanatan culture, cultural heritage, tourism promotion, entrepreneurship development and civilizational exchanges. They also stressed on further strengthening religious and cultural cooperation through joint social and cultural programmes in the days ahead. <\/p>\n
Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthen mutual friendship, cultural ties, tourism development and entrepreneurial cooperation in the long-term manner. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Anita Lama said preliminary discussions were held between Budhanilkantha municipality and concerned local governments of Australia to establish ‘sister city relationship’.
