Kathmandu. Kohalpur-based Shikha Academy has won the title of National Swimming Championship in Banke district. Shikha Academy and Nepalgunj Swimming Club won the title of the second Shikha School Level National Swimming Championship organized by Shikha Academy and Nepalgunj Swimming Club in Kohalpur on Saturday. <\/p>\n
Little Angels School Lalitpur came second with 101 points, Bageshwori Academy Kohalpur came third with 19 points, Sophia Residential School Nepalgunj came fourth with eight points and Lumbini World School Rupandehi came fifth with five points. <\/p>\n
Bibhusan Shakya and Lunira Shakya were declared the best players of the tournament after winning 6 gold medals each from Little Angels School. A total of 102 students from 24 schools across the country had taken part in the competition. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, tournament coordinator of Shikha Academy, Suryamani Adhikari, said that the competition was organized last year and the national level competition could be held next year. <\/p>\n
President of Nepalgunj Swimming Club Keshav Raj Neupane has announced that Nepal Swimming Club will organize an international swimming championship in the coming month of November. Earlier, Kohalpur municipality deputy mayor Sangita Subedi inaugurated the tournament.
