A conspiracy to make the death of a young man an accident by electrocuting his body to steal an insurance amount of Rs 83 lakh has been busted in Rajasthan&#8217;s Bhilwara district. Police have arrested four persons in connection with the incident. <\/p>\n<p>Gandhinagar police station in-charge Pushpa Kasotia said that on the night of May 7, the Mandal police station received information that a suspicious body was being brought to the hospital. Deepak&#8217;s mother Champa Ben said that some people brought her son from Gujarat to Rajasthan on the pretext of treatment. Deepak died the same night. <\/p>\n<p>The woman said she had burnt her fingers and toes to make the death look like an accident and died of electrocution while working in the field. <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rohit Sehrawat said that there was no sign of electrocution in his body. However, there were ECG electrode marks on the chest. The police were then informed. <\/p>\n<p>The 14-year-old son of the deceased gave the names of the four accused to the police. Based on the mobile location, the police obstructed the Gangar toll post and detained four people. <\/p>\n<p>According to the son of the deceased, his father was initially taken to a hospital in Ahmedabad. Where the doctors declared his condition serious. The accused then assured her that they would get insurance money if they reported her death as an electric shock rather than a disease. <\/p>\n<p>According to the son, the accused had burnt his father&#8217;s hands, stomach and fingers. An attempt was made to draw blood from his body. <\/p>\n<p>The defendants targeted alcoholics, those suffering from serious illnesses or the economically weak. Such people were paid monthly to drink alcohol and also paid insurance premiums. The gang became active when the doctors informed that the patient would not live long. <\/p>\n<p>According to the relatives, four insurance policies worth Rs 83 lakh were issued in Deepak&#8217;s name. Deepak had insured once earlier but did not die within the period. About two months ago, a new insurance was introduced. <\/p>\n<p>The police are checking the post-mortem report, call details and insurance documents.
