The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and the National Planning Commission (NPC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to construct an AI Data Centre for the development of information technology. <\/p>\n<p>Nepal Digital Infrastructure Company Limited, a subsidiary of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, has exchanged a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the construction of the data center. <\/p>\n<p>Member of the National Planning Commission Prof. Dr. Minister for Energy and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha and Sudan Jha exchanged the MoU. Minister Shrestha shared that the concept of building its own independent data center has been put forward with the objective of keeping sensitive data of Nepali citizens safe in Nepal.
