Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Medical College (NMC) has provided emergency medical supplies to the Nepali pilgrims embarking on the Haj pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina of Saudi Arabia. The college has provided medicines and medical appliances to the office-bearers of the Nepal Haj Committee. <\/p>\n
On Wednesday, the president of the college, Prof. Dr. Zainuddin Ansari handed over medical supplies to Haj Committee Chairman Mokhtar Ahmad and wished the pilgrims a happy journey. We are confident that like last year, you will successfully complete the Hajj pilgrimage for Nepali Muslim pilgrims this year also. The president of the college, Prof. Dr. Ansari said. He also informed the committee about possible problems to be encountered during the Hajj pilgrimage and expressed his readiness to facilitate for necessary coordination and cooperation. <\/p>\n
Chairman of Nepal Haj Committee, Mokhtar Ahmad said that the Haj Committee of Nepal last year had made efficient management of Nepali pilgrims and that the Saudi government had also selected them for the honor. <\/p>\n
The government of Saudi Arabia has been providing quota to 1200 people from Nepal for the Haj pilgrimage every year. Chairman Mokhtar said the Hajj pilgrimage would begin from next Saturday this year. Every year, the committee invites Muslim citizens from all over the country to apply for Hajj.
