Prime Minister Balen Shah has made it clear that no citizen will be homeless. <\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Balen made this clarification in a status post on his Facebook post today. He also urged people not to panic or be confused. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The attention of the government has been drawn to the disclosure of various comments and interpretations regarding the management process carried out by the Government of Nepal in accordance with the law in the areas where it is evident that unwarranted encroachment has taken place on the riverbanks of the Kathmandu Valley and on the land under the ownership of the government,&#8221; Balen said. &#8220;The government has taken seriously the information received that attempts are being made to create suspicion among the landless and unsystematic people who are forced to live in unorganized settlement and to create fear in a planned manner,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>In this context, Balen clarified that some clauses of the Land Act 2021, which were obstacles in the implementation of the long-term solution, have been repealed through the ordinance in view of the current situation. &#8220;With the removal of legal hurdles, digital data collection, verification of details and preparation of records of the genuine landless citizens has been started,&#8221; he said. The government has already moved towards systematic, transparent and sustainable solution by identifying the real situation of landless citizens through this process,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>According to Prime Minister Balen, arrangements will be made for the safe and systematic relocation of the people living in unsafe places due to risk to their lives. &#8220;In the case of other landless citizens, the government of Nepal will take the necessary decision on the basis of the recommendations of the commission and the details compiled,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Government of Nepal would like to make it clear that all the steps taken are not aimed at evicting the citizens, but with the intention of ensuring the right to housing and finding a permanent solution to the problem,&#8221; Balen said. &#8220;Therefore, we request the citizens not to fall into any kind of confusion, not to panic unnecessarily and not to spread unconfirmed information,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The government is fully committed to ensuring safe, dignified and permanent housing for every landless citizen,&#8221; Balen said. &#8220;No citizen will be allowed to become homeless,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
