China’s commerce ministry said in a statement that the sanctions prevent Chinese companies from carrying out normal economic and trade activities with other countries and violate international law and basic principles of international relations. The ministry said it does not recognize US sanctions and Chinese companies and institutions should not enforce them. <\/p>\n
According to the ministry, the Chinese government always opposes unilateral sanctions. It is not based on international law and is not without the approval of the United Nations,” the ministry said. <\/p>\n
The United States has imposed sanctions on another Chinese company on Friday. The US has said that Chinese companies have imported “millions of barrels” of Iranian crude oil and generated billions of dollars in revenue for Iran. \u2019<\/p>\n
