KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has called the people to come in contact for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of solar power projects to be constructed with local level investment. <\/p>\n<p>Issuing a notice today, the authority called on all to come in contact for PPA. The board of directors of NEA has met in the current fiscal year 2082. The government has decided to sign PPA for solar power projects with a capacity of up to 1 MW to be constructed with at least 51 percent partnership of the local level. <\/p>\n<p>According to NEA, the purchase rate of the project has been fixed at Rs 4.99 per unit as per the decision of the Electricity Regulatory Commission on January 3, 2002. The concerned promoter companies can contact the Electricity Trade Department of NEA with the necessary details and documents for PPA by May 12. <\/p>\n<p>Such projects are 33. The electricity can be connected to 11 kV grid or distribution substation at 33 kV or 11 kV.
