Kathmandu. In a shocking incident, a man in South Korea has swindled millions of insurance money by cutting off his finger. <\/p>\n
The incident came to light after police arrested a 50-year-old man from Incheon, Korea. The police investigation revealed that the man had cut off his finger to grab crores of insurance money. <\/p>\n
The Inchon West police station said the man was arrested on the 13th. The police have filed a case against him for violating the Special Act to Prevent Insurance Fraud, Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act and other laws. <\/p>\n
Police suspect the man cut off four of his fingers multiple times at his office in Incheon between June 2024 and March 2025. He fraudulently claimed insurance payments from private insurance companies and Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Services and embezzled 250 million won. <\/p>\n
Based on the intelligence, the police investigated the insurance claims records of the man. During the investigation, it was revealed that the injuries were intentional, police said. <\/p>\n
