KATHMANDU \u2014 The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has implemented a &#8216;car pooling&#8217; programme to attract office employees in view of the shortage of fuel. <\/p>\n<p>The KMC has implemented the call pooling program after the 48th executive meeting of the metropolis reduced the fuel quota provided to the officials. <\/p>\n<p>Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, said that the program has been implemented to reduce the situation created by the shortage of fuel and its long-term negative effects. &#8220;At this time, there may be no availability of fuel required for essential work and services while operating the vehicle in the same condition,&#8221; she said, &#8220;There is no alternative to reducing the use of fuel to avoid such problems.&#8221; Therefore, the &#8216;Car Pooling&#8217; program has been implemented to prevent possible fuel-related problems. \u2019<\/p>\n<p>Under this program, a group of officials has been formed on the basis of the area of residence. Those in this group should take turns driving the vehicles they have and bringing the officers close to them.
