The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has issued a circular warning of action against schools charging admission fees from students every year. “It is enough to pay the admission fee once in the same school,” the circular states, adding, “But complaints have been received that the schools are collecting admission fees from the students every year.” The local level has been urged to take action against the schools charging fees regularly. \u2019<\/p>\n
The ministry has also warned not to enroll students before the start of the academic session. “The Education Regulations, 2059 BS have a clear provision that no school can admit students until the academic session starts,” reads the circular. The ministry has also urged the local levels to take action against the schools violating this provision. <\/p>\n
According to the prevailing law, only the approved fee can be taken only after admission. However, the Ministry has also received complaints that schools have been charging students fees in advance, charging more than the approved fees and charging fees under different headings from the prescribed title. <\/p>\n
