Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has released the calendar for the New Year 2083 with pictures of the divine colors and philosophy of Paubha art. Chairman of the Bank Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Founder and Executive Director of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology Prof. Dr. Sanduk Ruit has jointly released the calendar for the year 2083. <\/p>\n
Paubha art is the original art of the Newar people. The calendar includes rare paintings of Paubha art, which has a deep connection with the Newa community living especially in the Kathmandu Valley. <\/p>\n
Although similar to Thangka, Paubha has its own distinct identity and philosophical depth. For the past few years, the bank has been incorporating original illustrations in its calendar for the preservation and promotion of Nepali art, literature, culture and civilization. <\/p>\n
The bank had published a calendar in 2089 BS which included pictures depicting original Mithila culture of Nepal, Mandala paintings in 2080 AD, ancient artefacts repatriated from different times in 2081 and rare photographs depicting old Nepali lifestyle in 2082 AD. <\/p>\n
Surendra Raj Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Suman Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Dr. Pramod Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Rita Gurung and other senior management officials of the bank were present on the occasion. <\/p>\n
