Life insurance companies have brought in business of more than Rs 124.72 billion in the eight months of &#8217;83 months (July-March). <\/p>\n<p>According to the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 life insurance companies have collected a total of Rs 124.72 billion in insurance premiums till mid-March. Last year, 2081. As of March 18, the companies had brought in Rs 108.71 billion. The company&#8217;s turnover during the review period increased by 14.73 percent compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>During the review period, Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) was the top gainer in terms of business growth while National Life Insurance Company was ahead in terms of business growth. The business of all the companies has increased compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Nepal Life earned Rs 32.97 billion in insurance premiums till mid-March of the current fiscal year. In the same period last year, the company had collected Rs 29.39 billion in insurance premiums. The company&#8217;s turnover increased by 12.17 percent in the review period compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, National Life is the second largest businessman in the world. The company has collected Rs 15.21 billion in insurance premiums till mid-March. The company had collected Rs 13.62 billion in insurance premiums in the same period last year. The company&#8217;s business increased by 10.08 percent compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Life Insurance Corporation (LIC Nepal) is in the third position in terms of bringing in the largest business. The company has collected Rs 12.56 billion in total insurance premiums till mid-March of the previous year, while in the review period, the company has collected Rs 13.46 billion. The company&#8217;s turnover increased by 7.16 percent in the review period compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Sun Nepal Life Insurance has collected Rs 11.19 billion in insurance premiums, Citizen Life Insurance Rs 1.4 billion, Citizen Life Insurance Rs 6.18 billion, Citizen Life Insurance Rs 1.4 billion, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 1.11 billion, and Sun Nepal Life Insurance Rs 1.11 billion. Likewise, Himalayan Life Insurance Company Ltd (4.40 percent), Rastriya Life Insurance Company Ltd (95.19 percent), Surya Jyoti Life Insurance (11.11 percent), Asian Life Insurance (12.05 percent) and Citizen Life Insurance (18.61 percent) increased in the review period. <\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Sun Nepal Life Insurance has collected Rs 2.19 billion in insurance premiums, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion, Prabhu Life Insurance Rs 1.96 billion, and Sun Nepal Life Insurance Rs 2.19 billion.
