Kathmandu. Despite the sanctions imposed on Russia, the US has temporarily allowed all countries to buy Russian oil and petroleum loaded onto ships at sea. <\/p>\n
According to US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, the move is a temporary measure to maintain supplies in international oil markets during the war. The permission will remain in place until April 11. <\/p>\n
Besant said, “This is a very limited and short-term measure. This will only apply to oil already loaded on ships and in transit. It does not provide any significant economic benefits to the Russian government. \u2019<\/p>\n
Oil prices have risen significantly since the Iran war. At one point, it rose from $70 to $120 a barrel. But oil prices fell to $100 a barrel after US President Donald Trump said he would end the war soon. But on Thursday, oil prices once again rose to $100 a barrel. <\/p>\n
At the same time, the global stock market has also fallen. Oil prices have soared after three more cargo ships were attacked in the Gulf. <\/p>\n
Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has said that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed. Hormuz is an important sea route. It supplies about 20 percent of the world’s oil. <\/p>\n
