Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) is set to sell 7.1 kg LP of LP (LPG) today. <\/p>\n
The corporation has made this statement after the demand for gas increased amid tensions in the Middle East. “In order to systematize the supply and distribution system of LP gas in view of the present situation, the NOC has decided to fill 7.1 kg LP gas in a cylinder and sell it at half price of Rs 955 per cylinder until further notice,” he said. The corporation said in a statement issued today. <\/p>\n
Although the NOC has been regularly importing and distributing LP gas as per the demand, the demand for LP gas has been high in the Kathmandu Valley since the last two to three months. Meanwhile, the war in the Middle East is affecting the supply of petroleum products and LP gas worldwide. <\/p>\n
According to the NOC, the trend of storing excess LP gas has increased in Nepal after the news was published in the mass media that the general consumers have been facing problems in getting LP gas even in India, which supplies LP gas to Nepal. “Therefore, in view of the current situation, the corporation has made this arrangement to make the supply and distribution system of LPG systematic and to ease the situation of gas being available as per the demand of the general consumers,” the statement reads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
