Buddha Air has bid farewell to one of its aircraft. Buddha Air bid adieu to its ATR 72-500 aircraft having call sign 9N-AAGO after its full operation. <\/p>\n<p>According to the airline, the aircraft had a maximum flight capacity of 72,000 bicycles (take-off and landing). Birendra Bahadur Basnet, executive chairman of Buddha Air, said that the aircraft has set a historical record in terms of full life of the aircraft. &#8220;It has played an important role in expanding the market and increasing the prestige of Buddha Air,&#8221; he said, adding that it has contributed a lot to make Nepal&#8217;s air travel convenient, less expensive and environment-friendly. \u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, the aircraft started commercial flights in July 2010. The last flight was from Bhairahawa-Kathmandu on March 9, 2026. During this period, the aircraft carried 2,482,772 passengers. <\/p>\n<p>The farewell program was also attended by General Manager of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Teknath Sitaula and Senior Vice President of ATR Company, Stefano Marrazzini, among others. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Buddha Air had bid adieu to the ATR-42 aircraft on September 10, 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
