Kathmandu. Dr. Madhav Kumar Shrestha was elected to the House of Representatives from Ramechhap District Constituency No. 1. Krishna Hari Budhathoki has been elected as the winner. Budhathoki, who holds a PhD in Economics and Master’s Degree in six subjects, is known as a popular personality due to his high academic qualifications and intellectual ability. In Nepal’s parliamentary politics, a representative who has a master’s degree in so many subjects is considered rare. <\/p>\n
He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector. Budhathoki has been active in research-oriented work on the problems and solutions of the financial system. He has carried out deep research on banking and economic policy and has worked to advance the debates on economy, development policy and leadership at the academic and policy level. <\/p>\n
He is active in various social awareness campaigns with the idea that he can contribute positively from anywhere in his village and nation by connecting village and city, country and abroad. He has been continuously running social and humanitarian campaigns adhering to the philosophy that ‘this life is precious, death is certain, but service made for humanity is immortal’. <\/p>\n
For the past decade, he has been conducting “Ramechhap Development Debate” program and has been conducting awareness and training programs on entrepreneurship development, production and productivity enhancement, marketing and linking education with skills. He has also been running a campaign to spread the message of goodwill, cooperation and humanity through Sadbha Foundation Nepal. <\/p>\n
Academically, he is a person with a very rich background. He holds a PhD in Economics and MPhil in English and a Master’s degree in six subjects: Economics, English, Management, Sociology, Political Science and Public Administration. Due to his multidisciplinary studies, he is also seen as an intellectual leader who can analyze the economy, society, politics and governance as a whole. <\/p>\n
Dr. Budhathoki is also the author of several books. Among his published works, “Prosperous Nepal’s Manifesto” and “Roadmap to Prosperous Ramechhap” are considered noteworthy, which present the concepts of sustainable development, utilization of local resources and building a prosperous society. <\/p>\n
He has a high educational qualification, long professional experience and a background in social campaigning.
