Kathmandu. The Advertising Board has urged the public not to broadcast and publish the advertisement of candidates for the election to the House of Representatives after 12:00 midnight today. <\/p>\n
The board has issued a notice requesting this. Chapter 4 Clause 17 of the Election Code of Conduct-2082 has the provision barring the election of the member of the House of Representatives from 12:00 midnight today. The board has warned that action will be taken against those who violate this provision. <\/p>\n
The office-bearers or candidates of the political parties and the sister organization of the party or the concerned person shall hold any kind of discussion, interaction and conference, including election campaigning, from the previous 48 hours of the day of the election until the polling station closes on the day of voting. Workshops, seminars, etc. are not allowed. <\/p>\n
The election code also has the provision for removing the election publicity materials of the political party or candidates placed around 300 meters of the polling station 48 hours before the voting day. The advertisement board has urged the public not to publish or broadcast any message, information or publicity material in favor or against the political party or candidate through social media, online, print or any other means. <\/p>\n
The notice states that the advertisements posted in online media and social networks except the advertisements provided by the Election Commission of Nepal and the Advertisement Board should be removed from 12:00 midnight on March 2 and the advertisements of political parties and candidates should not be broadcast in newspapers, radio, television, online media and social sites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
