It has been a long time since CDSC has drafted the Securities Dematerialization Work Operation Directive, 2082 (IGIN Directive). <\/p>\n<p>CDSC has sent the draft of the directive to the Securities Board of Nepal for approval. However, for the last 6-7 months, the draft of the directive has been pending in the Securities Board. <\/p>\n<p>The CDSC held a discussion program today to inform about the draft directive. However, representatives of the Securities Board of Nepal and NEPSE were not present. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>What is the process of issuing securities? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the draft of the directive, it has been proposed that according to the type of securities issued by the corporate body for the deposit of securities after the agreement of dematerialization, the same type of securities should be given to the same type of securities group and different types of securities groups should be given separately. However, the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of the corporate body has also proposed to provide separate IGs to the promoter and general share group in case the shares of the promoter and the general group are separated. <\/p>\n<p>The CDSC has proposed that the securities of the promoter and the general group will be given the same IGN before the implementation of this directive and the securities of the public group will be given different IGs after the implementation of the directive. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Method to provide iGene<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The CDSC will have to create an electronic system based on the unique stock symbol and reference number provided by the stock exchange. However, the unique stock symbol and reference number provided by the stock exchange will not be required for securities that are not immediately traded in the secondary market. <\/p>\n<p>Information about the IGN and registration provided for securities should be made available to the concerned corporate body, share registrar, stock exchange and securities board. <\/p>\n<p>Based on the information received, the Registrar and Transferee Representative or the corporate body should request CDSC to set up the IPO file and upload it and deposit it in the beneficiary&#8217;s account after verifying the details prepared by the registrar and transferee representative or corporate body as per the prevailing law. <\/p>\n<p>CDSC will have to submit the uploaded details to the beneficiary&#8217;s account on the basis of the request received from the Registrar and Transfer Representative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
